deoiling hydrocyclones

Cyclotech's Deoiling Hydrocyclone represents the state of the art in Hydrocyclone produced water treatment technology, optimising the balance between oil removal efficiency and capacity, ensuring that separation requirements are met in the most cost effective way. In combination with Cyclotech's PECT-F® technology, our Deoiling Hydrocyclone represents a step change in produced water treatment capability.

Supplied in Duplex Stainless Steel as standard, but also available in 316 Stainless Steel, both options use surface hardening on the internal surfaces exposed to high fluid velocities to ensure long life in erosive systems. The design of the Hydrocyclone body, or liner, is made from only two components and has been developed to minimise manufacturing cost and lead time. In addition the liner also has features which facilitate it's interface with Cyclotech's PECT-F® technology.

For particularly erosive applications we now offer Deoiling Hydrocyclone liners in a range of ceramic materials, such as Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide.

The external dimensions of the liner have been selected to provide an ultra-slim Hydrocyclone which allows extremely high numbers of liners to be accommodated within a given vessel size. This is especially beneficial for retro-fit expansions where system capacities can be increased by up to 30% without the addition of extra Hydrocyclone vessels.

Cyclotech supply Deoiling Hydrocyclone technology in the form of:

Liners alone
Liners and support plates
Pressure vessel housing containing liners and support plates
Full skid-mounted packages with or without produced water de-gasser vessel

Standard pressure vessel designs to all common codes are available. Systems with design pressures up to ANSI 1500# equivalent have been supplied. The most common pressure vessel materials are carbon steel, 316L stainless steel and duplex stainless steel. More exotic options such as super duplex stainless steel, hastelloy, monel and titanium can be evaluated.

Deoiling Hydrocyclone vessel diameters up to 1200mm (48") NS are available, however custom designs for larger diameter vessels can be developed.

high turndown systems

For all applications requiring very high turndown, Cyclotech offers its compartmentalised vessel approach. Internal baffles are used to divide the clean water and reject oil parts of the vessel into the appropriate numbers of compartments. Each compartment can be switched in or out of service using external valving, effectively providing a number of smaller vessels within a single vessel housing.

In a typical installation turndown can be increased by a factor of 10 without the need for operator intervention.
